Can be used to calculate a normal serum creatinine for a patient based upon their height and age

This tool can be used for patients without a baseline serum creatinine to help better determine if their current serum creatinine is consistent with AKI. This is particularly useful for patients with an unknown history. Further, it provides a more specific value for than otherwise prespecified serum creatine values provided by EMRs that are based solely upon normalized values for age and sex.
