[The role of changes in thrombocytic hemostasis in the pathokinesis of purulent surgical infection].

A study of 425 patients demonstrated that a pyodestructive process, located anywhere, affects platelet functional properties, resulting in the first place, in disorders of spontaneous cell disaggregation. Impaired platelet functional properties are conducive to the development of postoperative purulent and thromboembolic complications.
